Floating dock

Floating dock is a kind of equipment, which can lift the ship overhead the water to make ship building and repairing conveniently. It can move in the water and usually used for shipbuilding and repairing. Comparing to normal dry dock, floating dock is superior in economy, practicality.

Hunghao Shipyard specializes in designing, converting and producing floating dock and has produced six floating docks whose lifting capacity are 3000T, 5000T, 10000T, 80000T.

"Zhonghai Emeishan" floating dock is designed by Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute and built by China Shipping Industry Co.,Ltd. Total length of the dock is 410m, the breadth is 82m, inside breadth is 72m and its draft is 28m. Its height is just like 10-floor building and its max draft is 20m with lifting capacity of 85000T.The "Zhonghai Emeishan" can carry 10000 containers, the biggest oil tanker or bulk carrier in the world.

It's known as the biggest and the most advanced technique floating dock in the world with its usage of 38000T steel material and its advanced center control system.
